Ultra to provide sensor fusion, command & control for United States Marine Corps

27 April 2020

Ultra wins Marine Air Defense Integrated System (MADIS) contract for development of Counter Air and Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems

As part of the Ground Based Air Defense Future Weapon System, MADIS provides surfaceto-air fires to destroy or negate aerial threats in defense of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF). Installed onboard the various platforms including the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, Ultra’s state of the art sensor fusion/command & control  software will provide automatic detection, tracking and cueing of potential threats allowing soldiers to engage
with both kinetic and non-kinetic effectors against Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and Fixed Wing/Rotary Wing platforms.

Tim Stanley, President of Ultra ATS, commented:
“Ultra’s sustained support of the United States Marine Corps embody our mission to “Innovate today for a safer tomorrow”. The set of advanced capabilities Ultra is providing to the MADIS program will bring additional digital interoperability between fixed and mobile
forces, allowing full spectrum battlespace dominance against an ever-evolving threat. Ultra looks forward to working with the MADIS team developing and fielding this critical capability.”
